Eagle Symbolism Today

Today, the bald eagle symbolizes both the positive and negative characteristics of our country and our society. As in the past, the image of the majestic bald eagle adorns our national seal, our currency and coins. Businesses, schools, and other institutions use the name "Eagle" to suggest concepts from speed to bravery to high quality.

Unfortunately, the bald eagle has also come to symbolize the life-threatening effects of environmental pollution, habitat loss, wildlife persecution, and man's clash with nature.
